Our crew, start to finish

A patio should work as hard as any room in your house. In Oregon, that means standing up to nine months of rain without turning into a mud pit, staying level on clay soil that never stops moving, and looking good enough to anchor a backyard you actually want to spend time in. Concrete slabs check none of those boxes. They crack, they pool water, and once they settle unevenly there's no fix short of tearing the whole thing out.

We build patios that function as full outdoor living spaces: cooking areas, fire pit seating, dining for a dozen. The clients getting the most out of their investment aren't building 10x10 squares next to the back door. They're extending 400, 600, 800+ square feet into the yard with defined zones for different uses. That's the kind of project that transforms how you use your property.

What Does Patio Paver Installation Cost in Lake Oswego?

Most Lake Oswego homeowners invest between $22 to $45 per sqft for a complete patios project. Final cost depends on area size, material selection, and site preparation needs.

Key cost factors:

  • Patio size and layout complexity
  • Paver material and pattern
  • Fire pit, seat wall, or kitchen integration
  • Grade changes or retaining walls needed
  • Demolition of existing surface

Why Choose Patios?

Year-Round Outdoor Living

A well-built paver patio handles Oregon's winters without cracking, heaving, or pooling water. Cover part of it, add a fire pit, and you've got usable outdoor space 12 months a year. Not just a summer novelty.

Design Flexibility Concrete Can't Match

Curves, multiple levels, integrated planters, seat walls, fire features. Pavers let you build shapes and zones that poured concrete can't replicate without expensive formwork. Want a circular fire pit area flowing into a rectangular dining space? Pavers do that.

Drainage That Actually Works

Permeable paver joints let rainwater filter through instead of sheeting across the surface toward your foundation. In the Willamette Valley's clay-heavy soil, proper drainage isn't a nice-to-have. It's structural protection for your home.

Repair Without Replacing

Ten years from now, if a tree root pushes up a section or a heavy planter cracks a unit, you pull out the affected pavers, fix the base, and set them back. No jackhammering, no mismatched concrete patches, no full teardown.

What Homeowners Say About Our Patios

Sequoia's crew removed extensive rotting retaining walls, concrete steps and walkways, and aged stone patio. Then they replaced it all with modern clean lines in classic stone materials. Each piece was installed with a watchmaker's precision. We engaged them again for our long driveway and they finished ahead of schedule and under budget.

Our Process

How It Works

From consultation to completion: a seamless experience

01

Design Consultation

Alex visits to assess your yard: grades, drainage, existing structures, sun patterns, how you want to use the space. We discuss layout, material options, and features like fire pits or seat walls. Full proposal within 3 business days.

02

Excavation & Base Construction

We excavate the full patio footprint to stable subgrade, accounting for any grade changes or steps. Aggregate base is built in compacted lifts. For patios with fire features or kitchen elements, we coordinate utility rough-ins at this stage.

03

Paver Installation

Pavers are laid to pattern with precise cuts at borders and transitions. Multi-zone patios get careful attention at the transitions between areas, where the dining area meets the fire pit circle, for instance. Everything gets compacted and jointed.

04

Features & Finishing

Fire pits, seat walls, steps, and lighting get installed and connected. We seal if specified, clean the entire surface, and do a final grade check. Your patio is ready to use immediately.

05

Walkthrough & Warranty

Alex walks the completed project with you, covers maintenance, and activates the 5-year craftsmanship warranty.
